While shaking hands, Mr. Rayus places his other hand on Mr. Fixit's shoulder,
and says, "Man oh man, am I ever so glad that you work at this school." End-
ing the hand shake so each may take a seat, Mr. Rayus continues, "I have heard
that you are able to fix a thing so it is whole, to make a thing stable, and to fix a
thing so it makes no noise. And, Sir, this praise goes way beyond what I heard
from little Tianna just a few moments ago, who spoke of you as a hero for fix-
ing the slide on the playground. Why, Mr. One'stone himself, told me that you
have worked here forever, and that you've been here from the beginning. So,
when we both are free of definite appointments, there are ideas which I would
like to explore with you; and I have certain thoughts which I hope to share."

Hearing this from Mr. Rayus, the new Principal, Mr. Fixit smiles and says,
"Thank you, Mr. Rayus, for placing me in a halo of light, but, most of the time,
I prefer to work in the shade, or behind the scenes, and, then, I do only what I
need to do to fix it; ..., whatever 'it' may turn out to be, that I am to fix now."

Now, because Mr. Fixit is speaking with the new Principal, he decides to take a
moment to explain the way he gets it done, so he tells Mr. Rayus, "Once I get into
it, and I get it open so I may look inside, I lay it out flat, I figure it out, and, then,
..., I fix it. Yes, Mr. Rayus, I have found this method more than trustworthy, as
this way of working always goes with getting whatever it is that I am fixing, fixed."
To end his explanation, Mr. Fixit says, "Knowing this way of working means that
I may move along without a single guess or any notion of luck."
