"Miss Tickle, ..., may I have a word with you?" Turning to the voice, the school
teacher begins to reply, "Why, yes, ...." but she sees no one at the door. A scan
around the room finds only the faces of her group, some now looking towards
the door, as well. "Sam, did you see anyone come in and say my name?" asks
Miss Tickle. "No," says Sam; and with a giggle he adds, "I think the door wants
to talk with you." This idea thrills Miss Tickle as she tells her students, "My, my;
I've never had an occasion to speak with a door." Just then the door says, "Miss
Tickle, I am not a door. I am Mr. Rayus. May I have a word with you, please?"

Now, Miss Tickle knows that the door to her learning room is not Mr. Rayus.
She met Mr. Rayus face to face, and shook hands with him at the big meeting,
held to welcome this new Principal, and he didn't look anything like the door.

Miss Tickle remembers that Mr. Rayus was thin, but not as thin as the door;
and he was wearing a pair of small round glasses that had slid to the end of his
nose, but the glass window in the door is one large square that fits firmly in its
frame. While comparing her image of Mr. Rayus with her image of the door,
the door announces, "Miss Tickle, please know that I am not the door to your
learning room; I am Mr. Rayus, speaking to you from my office, using the old
'Tele-Verse' device." Looking towards Sam, she says, "Ohhh, that explains it."

Pointing to the door, Miss Tickle tells her group, "The old 'Tele-Verse' device
